When my mother died, my brother, sister and I were so taken aback by the suddenness of it all that we were incapable of writing a proper eulogy.  Therefore, my brother-in-law took over the task.  Remember that when you think about how to write a eulogy, you should include accomplishments of the individual, but focus more on the endearing qualities that person had.  My mother’s eulogy done by my brother-in-law was absolutely beautiful.  He talked about how she raised her kids on her own, held a job while we went to school and then went on to her endearing traits and ended it with a recording of her laughter, which was always an infectious laugh.  Most of us thought it was absolutely brilliant.
