During the 1930’s designers of what are now antique radio attempted to incorporate these radios into existing furniture. Taking an overstuffed chair and mounting a radio inside of it. These first tries were just adapting an existing radio into furniture. Later in the decade, furniture designers made radios an integral part of the finished product. A bed radio would be built into the nightstand next to the bed making the radio a permanent part of the bed. If the customers wanted a radio in the dinning room, they could find a buffet table with a built in radio.
