We have been very cautious with our money, and generally quite conservative about planning for our future. We both feel that it would be really silly of us to risk our whole lives, and the future that we are trying to build together, by leaving ourselves open to identity theft. I never knew this until recently but this is the sort of situation that you really need to plan against. Just assuming that it will never happen to you, that it just happens on TV or in the movies, is a false assumption and one that can lead to a lot of trouble as well. We are doing everything we can to stay vigilant.
