I learned that best man speeches, when given properly at the wedding, can make you famous. If you make the audience laugh out loud, then they will remember you as a fantastic Best Man. These speeches are important because you were chosen to give a memorable speech. Wedding speeches cannot be written a day before. You should prepare a few weeks, and practice hard every night leading up to the big day. I would say it is almost as important as actually being the Groom.
