We have been making plans for this day for a very long time, because it was my manager’s last day of work. She was working in this very same office for the last 35 years, and she has inspired both loyalty and affection in all of her workers for the whole time. We made sure that we had a very special party planned for her, and we also had some gifts that we had really hoped she would love. The party was successful beyond my wildest dreams, actually. She just adored all of the presents, especially the stuff that was to help her pursue her hobbies in her spare time.
